After a year of free operation we are now charging a modest fee for placing ads on the website.

After consulting members we decided on the following fee policy.

Wanted ads remain free and shall always be free. We now charge a small percentage of the listing price up to a listing price of $100. Over that a fixed fee with a maximum of $10. You may choose optional extras like bold listing or featuring on the front page for an extra fee.

You can also set up your own online store on the GAA website with the following fees

Basic Store	15 items, Price: AUD 5.00, recurring every 30 days
Medium Store	35 items, Price: AUD 10.00, recurring every 30 days
Advanced Store	100 items, Price: AUD 20.00, recurring every 30 days
Expert Store	500 items, Price: AUD 40.00, recurring every 30 days, [ Featured Store ]
Platinum Store	1500 items, Price: AUD 60.00, recurring every 30 days, [ Featured Store ]

We have just had a case reported on the Gun Auction Australia website of someone listing a gun for sale using a fictitious gun license number and identity details. Luckily the buyer followed their intuition when all the seller would provide was a bank account number and no further communication then followed up with the NSW firearms registry. The buyer discovered that the name and license number was not known to the NSW Police. The NSW firearms registry has a verification facility on their website.

Sadly the world is full of dishonest people and we all need to be careful on the internet. It is a good idea to check out the seller if you dont know them. The various state firearms registries are a great help and their contact details are listed on the FAQ page of the website. You can also check out the firearms dealer they nominate for the transfer. It is not unreasonable to ask for a copy of their gun license and drivers license also. Most will also be members of the SSAA and that can help to ensure they are fair dinkum.

I will give everyone a few days to update their details and then I will be going through the user database and deleting any accounts which do not list the full identity details. The details of any suspicious accounts will then be passed onto the Police and they are able to trace you from your email accounts. The website also logs all your IP address activity.

This website is a service to genuine shooting enthusiests and mongrels who are out to defraud and con decent people will be pursued and prosecuted. I ask members to report and suspicious activity to the Police. I will also be reporting any suspicious activity to the WA Police for investigation so mongrels look out! Lets work together to provide an honest forum for online trading amongst fair dinkum shooters!
